It is amazing that June is upon us. We have so many events this month that I am sure that the school days will fly by. We are in the middle of Spirit Week and students are truly showing their spirit. This is a great was to start our final month together of this school year.

We have finally wrapped up all of our state assessments. I am eager to learn how well we performed on PARCC and NECAP. I was very pleased that Lippitt had 100% participation on both assessments. Most students worked very hard and took pride on these assessments. We have many students very active in helping others. Two girls in Mrs. Quinn’s class presented about the 3 R’s of recycling at all my town meetings over the last couple weeks. They did an amazing job helping us understand the importance of using reusable water bottles and shopping bags instead of disposable plastic materials.

We also have fourth grade students organizing a Book Drive, a Pet Supply Drive, Toiletries for the Homeless, as well as a dress down day for the West Warwick Animal Shelter. Last week we had two students painting puzzle pieces on students arms and faces during recess in hopes of raising autism awareness.

I can’t wait to put together our Feinstein Keepsake Summer Journal so I can share photos of students doing these amazingly kind deeds.
