As you know, we are pleased to return to an in person Open House event on Wednesday night. We are requesting that only one parent/guardian attend, limiting the number of people in the building. In an effort to reduce the amount of people in the building we are requesting that students do not attend this event. We will have sign in sheets near the door to each classroom so we can have some sense of contact tracing.
Open House is a time when parents/guardians enjoy meeting the teacher, leaving a note to their child, seeing the classroom environment, and listening to the teacher(s) share expectations, curriculum, and a snapshot of a typical day. As this is not a time for conferences, we have only set aside 30 minutes for primary grades (K-2) from 6 pm to 6:30 and left a 15 minute break between the intermediate session, (Grades 3-5) so that some cars could clear out and make room for the next group at 6:45 pm. This session will last until 7:15.
We hope that each family will try to send someone to check out our school and visit classrooms since we are proud of our learning community and welcome you to join us.
Please enter through the front entrance of our school. Weather permitting, the PTO, Title One, Office staff, Itinerants, and Support Staff will be set up outside to greet you and provide important information just outside the building and they can guide you to where you wish to visit.
All visitors (vaccinated & unvaccinated) are required to use face masks when on school grounds. Please follow the COVID Symptom Guidelines and self check before coming using the COVID Symptom Screener.
I hope to see you Wednesday.
Mr. Martin Susla
